The CCM XR70 Goalie Skate is an entry-level skate from CCM along with the 2026 season. It features many key specs to make it great including a synthetic comfort boot, and molded CCM ortholite footbed. Available in a variety of sizes, these goalie skates are a great option for all-levels of goaltenders.

Boot Material

These goalie skates are constructed with a synthetic comfort design. This allows for an ergonomic fit in a lightweight, durable boot. Built with CCM’s one-piece boot technology, it amplifies power transfers and goalie lateral movement explosiveness.

Liner

This skate comes with a TotalDri Pro liner. This is a high-performance moisture-wicking material that keeps feet dry and skates light, while the antimicrobial treatment fights odor and bacteria.

Tongue

The skates have been constructed with a 7mm felt tongue with injected lacebite material. This dual-layer construction with the injected lacebite protection provides the goalies with a level of comfort that also helps them perform, while the lacebite protection produces an additional layer of padding.

Footbed

The footbed is designed with a CCM ortholite footbed. It is designed to provide advanced moisture management, enhanced durability, and crease grip which provides a steady, un-weighted tactile feel for explosive post-to-post pushes. It also provides the skate with ultra-lightweight comfort, cushioning the base of the foot using dense, recycled materials.

Holder & Steel

The XR70 goalie skates come equipped with the speedblade XSG holder, which is a quick-release holder with a metal pin blade lock system to keep the steel in place. The skates also use the CCM XS1 goalie steel, which is a stainless steel runner designed to provide solid edge retention and solid pushes.
