Earlier this year, Sports Excellence had a unique opportunity to create a commemorative hockey stick to honor Canadian residential school survivors. The ECM (Every Child Matters) hockey stick features meaningful symbols representing the survivors' struggles, pain, and hope. Sports Excellence is thrilled to support this awareness campaign by donating proceeds from each stick sold to selected charities for this inaugural launch. For each Senior and Intermediate stick, $20 will be donated, and $15 for Junior sticks. These donations will be divided among the Orange Shirt Society, The National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation (charity # 11926-0669-RR0001), and The United Way (charity # 11927 6509 RR0001). We are eagerly anticipating a successful hockey season and campaign.
